Who Is Nick Fenton?
Hello All! I’d like to take a moment to give you a brief overview as to what you should expect from NickFenton.com. I am an entrepreneur (check out my website, thesecretsofdaytrading.com, to get my #1 secret for free), stock & options trader, musician (rapper/producer), bourbon connoisseur and sneaker collector.
This blog will reflect my interests, with a primary focus on the stock market. In the stock department, I intend to share some valuable market education with you, as well as share my actual trades, trade ideas, and overall thoughts on the financial markets.
You might be saying to yourself, “Who does this guy think he is, and why do I care what he thinks?” Fair enough. Allow me to give you some background. I have been active in the stock market since winning the Kentucky State Stock Market challenge in 7th Grade. Financial Markets are my passion, to say the least. I attended the University of Kentucky and graduated cum laude with a degree in Finance in 2002. After graduating, I managed the secondary market lending department at a mortgage firm before becoming a full time Trader in March 2006.
What do I bring to the table? Over 11 years of real money (not virtual/paper money) trading experience, and over 3 years of advanced trading experience. I specialize in utilizing technical analysis to trade stocks & options. Many think technical analysis is a farce, but I’ve made way too many successful trades using TA to subscribe to that method of thought. The ability to spot and act on solid technical set ups coupled with disciplined risk management on each trade is my expertise.
My time horizon on trades rarely exceeds 6 months, and more often than not I’m out within 2 weeks of entry. I also day trade on a frequent basis. I am very nimble…adapting to ever changing market environments. With that in mind, it is obvious that my trading strategy changes depending on the market environment.
